To empower the stakeholders of Tamil education so as to promote the cause of Tamil education in Malaysia by uniting the Tamil school committees and promoting and solidifying the relationship among the Tamil schools in Malaysia.

July 14, 1990

A group of professionals struck a collaborative arrangement to help Tamil schools, primarily, in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Was formally registered under the Registry of Societies (ROS).

April 7, 2012

Tamil Foundation agreed upon in Cameron Highlands should be adopted and move towards achieving these aims:

  1. To accept Tamil language as a promoted language.
  2. To reaffirm and strengthen Tamil schools in the National Education System.
  3. To increase community involvement and to take ownership of Tamil schools through civil societies and community institutions at all levels.

Mr Manogaran Marimuthu

President

Mr. Manogaran Marimuthu is an Advocate & Solicitor with over 30 years of legal experience and currently serves as 7th President of Tamil Foundation Malaysia and the President of Malaysia Tamil Sanggam, actively contributing to human rights and Tamil education initiatives.

Ir Mathanraj Gangadaran

Deputy President

Ir Mathanraj Gangadaran is a proud Tamil School alumni and he firmly believes that Tamil Schools are more than Malaysian Indian community’s identity, they must be transformed to become our community’s powerhouse!

Mr Kugeneswaran Tamilmany

Secretary

Kugeneswaran Tamilmany serves as the Secretary of the Tamil Foundation Malaysia and a prominent figure in youth leadership. He holds the distinguished rank of N9 State Chief Scout Commissioner, leveraging his extensive experience to foster character development and civic responsibility.

Dr Kalaimany Kathan

Treasurer

Dr Kalaimany is a Project Director of Mercu Jitu Engineering Sdn. Bhd. and currently serves as the Treasurer of Tamil Foundation Malaysia, contributing his leadership and organisational expertise to community and educational initiatives.
